Syringa Networks, a fiber-optic network provider headquartered in Boise, Idaho, recently added the new J.R. Simplot Company World Headquarters complex in Boise, Idaho to its fiber network.
Initially commissioned to provide high-speed bandwidth to the Simplot facilities in and out of the United States, the J.R. Simplot Company, a privately held food and agribusiness company, commissioned Syringa Networks to provide high capacity data via fiber to its new complex in downtown Boise.
The two organizations have worked together for the past several years bringing high speed broadband services to Simplot's rural facilities. Syringa Networks began with connecting Simplot operations in Afton, Wyoming and eastern Idaho and continued to connect additional operations in rural areas in the United States, Canada, Mexico and other countries.
As an example, in conjunction with a major cellular provider and the J.R. Simplot Company, Syringa Networks worked together to build a 300-foot tower, connect it with broadband, and provide the Grand View, Idaho area with high-speed voice and data service where residents previously had spotty cellular coverage.
"Telecommunications and broadband access is essential to the businesses and residents of rural areas. We are proud to do our part in bringing connectivity to remote communities," said Greg Lowe, Syringa Networks President and CEO.
To date, Syringa Networks has implemented bandwidth solutions to over 130 Simplot sites both domestic and international.
“Syringa Networks is a critical component of our overall IT strategy at Simplot. They continue to bring creative solutions to the table involving our network growth be it at our newly constructed corporate facilities in downtown Boise, our international sites or in our plants which spread across much of rural America. Bottom line, Syringa Networks is a true partner.” Mark Sachs, IT Manager, Simplot.
